Very excited to see two Aussies - Dean Cohen (Flying Fox) and Stacey Lubofsky (Giving Tree) - nominated for the Dov Levy Prize, which is an international prize awarded to an individual or group that is making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities in their own cities, regions or around the world. Dean and Stacey both participated in last year's Emergency and Disaster Management Course for Community Leaders which the ZFA and the Arava Australia Partnership ran in collaboration with the Jewish Agency for Israel and the Multi-Disciplinary Emergency Management Program at Tel Aviv University. It was a 3 month program that empowered community leaders with skills and resources to lead their organisation through times of emergency and disaster. We were privleged to have the two of them among our Australian participants and we are so proud that the important work that they are doing for our community has been recognised with this nomination among a very impressive pool of people from around the world.
