OLIM NEWS AND INFORMATION
As Israel continues to be an attractive destination for potential Olim from Australia, the following section provides some information that current and future Olim should be aware of. These include work and living prospects, visas and rights, information about making Aliyah, things to be aware of, and a range of other matters.

Aliyah Counselling Service
Counselling about Aliyah for Australian Olim is an important service. The ZFA contracts the UJIA (formerly the British Olim Society) to look after Australian Olim. For further information, contact the ZFA Israel office, or visit the UJIA website
Dual Citizenship Permitted for Australians Living in Israel
As of 4th April 2002, Section 17 of the Australian Citizenship law has been revoked. This means that people who became Permanent Residents in Israel in the past, may now take Israeli citizenship, and still keep their Australian citizenship. Israeli Mobile Phone Changes
From November 1 2004, mobile phone codes changed in Israel and now include an extra digit.
