Connecting Russian-speaking Jewish Australians to culture, community and Israel

Kangarusski is the Russian-speaking Jewish department of the Zionist Federation of Australia.

Established in 2012, it has become a central address for the Russian-speaking Jewish community in Australia, offering vibrant cultural, social and educational opportunities for all ages.

Run by passionate volunteers, Kangarusski’s mission is to celebrate Jewish identity and Russian-Jewish heritage, while building strong connections to the wider Jewish community and to Israel.

What We Do

Kangarusski offers a wide range of programs, events and initiatives, including:

  • Family festivals and cultural events
  • Kids’ day camps and school holiday programs
  • Young adult social gatherings and leadership development
  • Partnerships with Moishe House, Limmud FSU, and Birthright Israel
