AZYC Executive Officer

We are looking for a highly motivated professional Executive Officer to join the AZYC team and take our organisation to the next level. We want someone who deeply cares about youth leadership and is willing to creatively look at how we can develop our nine Zionist youth movements around Australia and Aotearoa – New Zealand and then implement practical processes to make it happen. This role presents a unique opportunity to work with some bright minds, and requires enthusiasm, strong interpersonal skills, creativity and efficiency.

The AZYC is the roof-body organisation of the nine Zionist Youth Movements which operate in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand: Betar, Bnei Akiva, Habonim Dror, Hashomer Hatzair, HaTzofim, Hineni, Netzer, JAZY, and CATZ. The youth movements run weekly activities and bi-annual camps for young Jews aged 8-18 and aim to encourage young people to develop their Jewish and Zionist identities, gain leadership skills and become part of the youth movement community. Each youth movement runs a gap-year program in Israel, and graduates of the gap-year programs then return as leaders in their youth movements. The movements are run solely by young volunteers.
