About the Organisation
As the peak Australian Zionist representative body, the Zionist Federation of Australia (ZFA) is dedicated to advocating for Israel within the Australian Jewish community and fostering strong ties between Australia and Israel. A core aspect of our mission is to inspire young Jewish Australians to engage in transformative, long-term Israel programs. This is achieved through our partnership with Masa Israel Journey, a global organization that connects young Jewish individuals to Israel through immersive experiences.

Role Overview
The Masa Australia Representative will assume a pivotal role in effectively marketing and promoting Masa Israel programs. These programs are diverse, catering to gap year students, individuals seeking career development, academic exchange, Jewish learning, and personal growth opportunities in Israel. Collaborating closely with local and international stakeholders, the Representative will devise and execute strategies to amplify awareness about the diverse array of programs offered. The Representative will work innovatively and in tandem with the global Masa team, forging connections, devising and executing media campaigns, generating content, and ensuring seamless project administration. Notably, the Representative will also oversee “Israel Go,” the ZFA’s grants initiative.

Qualities of the Successful Applicant
The Masa Australia Representative will be a creative and innovative professional, building a network that encompasses both local Australian and Israeli organizations. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial, as is a strategic and organised approach. This role necessitates independent work as well as productive collaboration within a team setting. The Representative will occasionally engage in after-hours work and travel, including interstate and international trips. This position will be based in Melbourne and is available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive national Masa marketing strategy to recruit participants for Masa Israel programs.
• Oversee and manage the annual marketing budget for Masa activities.
• Effectively manage the Masa Israel operations within Australia.
• Foster collaborations with local organisations and Israeli program providers to enhance marketing and recruitment efforts in Australia, which includes cultivating community partnerships.
• Maintain close communication with the Masa office in Israel, contributing to the design and execution of new campaigns and initiatives.
• Engage volunteers and casual staff to act as brand ambassadors across Australia and offer support for projects as required.
• Reports to the ZFA CEO on matters concerning Masa Israel programs.

• Proficiency in relevant software, including social media platforms, CRM systems, and website management.
• Competence in administration and meticulous organisational skills.
• A commitment to Israel and understanding of the Australian Jewish community.
• Desirable: a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Desirable: having participated on a Masa program.
• Desirable: some Hebrew language proficiency.
