We are shocked and outraged at the terror attack in Sri Lanka during Easter services. At least 207 innocent worshippers have been confirmed dead with many more injured.
During Passover, when the Jewish people comes together to celebrate the Exodus from Egypt, we must recognise and also call for the freedom of all peoples to practise their religions without fear.
The Jewish community stands with the Christian community and the people of Sri Lanka in condemning this shocking act of terror. We pray for the speedy recovery of all the injured and pass on our condolences to those who have lost their loved ones.
May their memories be a blessing.
