I am shocked that YouTube administrators have shut down PMW’s channel, in what has been an obvious misunderstanding about PMW’s purpose. The irony is that by disabling the YouTube channel they have played right into the hands of the perpetrators of hate speech. In these difficult times, where terror reigns as a direct result of the videos PMW seeks to expose, I hope that this channel, which is an invaluable resource for the promulgation of accurate, first source information will be reinstated.
Now more than ever, social media is playing a major role in public opinion, and incitement to violence and hate speech is rife on platforms such as YouTube and Facebook. It is critical for it to be exposed by organisations such as PMW. It raises the question, why is the real hate speech still all over the internet?
