The Zionist Federation of Australia (ZFA) welcomes the Australian Government’s principled decision to vote against six biased resolutions at the United Nations General Assembly. President of the ZFA Jeremy Leibler said, “We thank the Australian government for demonstrating moral clarity and changing its previous position of abstaining to voting against these biased and anti-Israel resolutions that do nothing to contribute towards peace between Israel and the Palestinians.”
Leibler continued, “Peace will not be achieved by Governments from around the world fuelling the false Palestinian narrative that the Jewish people have no connection to Jerusalem. We commend the Australian Government for voting against these resolutions and thereby sending a message to the Palestinian leadership that peace will not be achieved without mutual recognition and respect.”
