The Zionist Federation of Australia responded to the open letter by people in the creative industries, which made baseless allegations about Israeli actions in Gaza.
ZFA President Jeremy Leibler said, “The letter pushes lies and fanciful allegations. It implies solidarity with indigenous people, but ignores Jewish indigeneity to the Land of Israel. It doesn’t mention the 75 years of Palestinian rejectionism that led to the lack of peace or the depraved Hamas attack that led to this war. Anyone who signs this letter is loudly and proudly displaying their ignorance for all the world to see.”
