Four IDF soldiers were killed in Khan Yunis when they were ambushed emerging from a tunnel shaft under a recently destroyed building. The body of murdered hostage Elad Katzir has been retrieved from Gaza and returned to Israel for burial. Elad had been seen alive in two propaganda videos from Islamic Jihad in December and January. After being closed since […]

The accidental killing of Australian humanitarian worker Lalzawmi ‘Zomi’ Frankcom, along with six of her colleagues, in Gaza earlier this week is a tragedy. Israel has acknowledged responsibility for the attack, and is fully investigating what happened. The IDF statement about the incident, as well as the ZFA’s statement on the same, is below. While […]

1 April

The Pope called for an immediate ceasefire and the release of all hostages in his Easter address. Passionate protests across Israel call for an early election to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Bibi is standing firm that a reelection is what Hamas wants. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant states that the Gaza campaign is destroying Hamas as more leaders are being killed. Hezbollah leaders […]

28 March

IDF ground forces are fighting intense battles within the Shifa hospital. The Hamas offices within the hospital are a source of valuable intelligence that assists the IDF in their Gaza campaign, and may reveal the location of hostages. We recognise the exceptional courage of the soldiers active in this highly dangerous work. In the West Bank, Israeli police […]

ZFA statement in solidarity with Jewish students on camp

The Zionist Federation of Australia is deeply concerned about the welfare of Jewish students on Australian campuses, and supports the Australasian Union of Jewish Students’ call to action. The AUJS statement is here. ZFA CEO Alon Cassuto said, “We warned universities last year about the manifestations of antisemitism on campuses, but the situation has gotten […]

ZFA statement on Iranian attack on Israel

The Zionist Federation of Australia condemns in the harshest possible terms the Iranian attacks on Israel. ZFA President Jeremy Leibler said, “We stand by Israel as it comes under attack by the Iranian terrorist regime. Iran is seeking to terrorise Israel but Israelis will not be cowed. We welcome the clear international condemnation of these […]

ZFA statement on Senator Wong’s speech hinting at Palestinian recognition

The Zionist Federation of Australia was deeply disappointed at elements of Senator Wong’s speech to the National Security College on 9 April. ZFA President Jeremy Leibler said, “Any talk of recognition of Palestinian statehood in such close proximity to the 7 October attacks is entirely premature and will be seen as a reward for those attacks.” […]

🕯 As the sun sets in Australia, and Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) is officially upon us, we wanted to reshare this beautiful piece of artwork by Israeli artist Karen Gillerman which we shared a number of years ago.

The past and the future bridged together through the arms of Polish-born Auschwitz survivor Dora Dreiblat, born in 1922, and her great-granddaughter Daniela Har-Zvi, born in 2007 in Israel.

Remember and Never Forget.

why ..all tats now..give me the creeps.

AM ISRAEL CHAI..!!! 💪💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Tonight at sunset will mark the beginning of Yom Hashoah - the annual Remembrance Day that commemorates the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust. We have a duty to bear witness in their honour: never to forget them.

Ever.

ZFA CEO Alon Cassuto tells the survival story of his grandfather Piero Cassuto, but 6 million Jews were denied that story for the sole reason that they were Jewish.

We pray to honour their memory. We pray for peace in Israel. We pray for the safe return of our hostages 🙏🏽

Alon Amen😘

The Zionist narrative that Oct 7 occurred inexplicably, without context, is absolute garbage, and every thinking person knows it. The Hamas incursion across the heavily fortified border wall that Israel has used to illegally blockade Gaza from land, sea, and air, for 17 years, occurred not because Israelis are Jews, but as a result of more than 76 years of brutal Zionist occupation and oppression. Israel Is A Lunatic State: “Political scientist and analyst of Israeli-Palestinian history Norman Finkelstein joined us this week for a conversation on the ongoing bombardment of Gaza by Israel. In a wide-ranging interview, Dr Finkelstein sets out the historical context for the current conflict, the material conditions that have pushed Gazans to breaking point, and Israeli political and social attitudes to the subjugation of the Palestinian population.” youtu.be/gu4OMmoo5mw?si=4ZG44kQkTelRaaCo
